I love the idea of a well stocked larder/pantry which can be seen through an open
doors in the kitchen. Beautiful baskets hanging from ceiling beams, braids of
onions, garlic, peppers and hanging herbs.
Today I wanted to see what all this will look like through a door. Though
the shelves will be very different. Much older deeper and going from floor to
ceiling.
On the back wall of the kitchen in the center will be a fireplace surround
over the cast bronze stove I made. Then on both sides, closet doors.
I was very disappointed that Tiny Ter Miniatures (Teresa Martinez) was not
going to be at the Tom Bishop Show this April in Chicago. Her work is just
beautiful. I wrote Teresa when I got home and ordered three more of her canned
goods. They are pictured here on the second shelf. From left to right... A jar
of cauliflower, carrots and green beans, a jar of pears in wine sauce and
sliced carrot sticks.
Taking photos gives me an idea where the holes in the collection are. I may be missing a couple of dead rabbits hanging from their back legs! ;-O Also I don't like this spiffy clean look!
HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!
Yummy, here is a kitchen well supplied in appetizing foods

Thank you Claude.
DeleteA perfect pantry is one where it looks like they've just returned from the market and purchased just slightly too much for the space. You've got it staged perfectly, and when you add the real life look, it will be marvelous!
ReplyDeleteThank you Jodi. It does look like someone hasn't unpacked that shopping basket yet.

;-) Gracias.
How perfectly wonderful!!!! I adore Teresa's vegetables and the ones you recently chose are amazing. You have the work of some GREAT miniaturists there on display....an astonishing collection!!!
ReplyDeleteLinda x
I really liked the jar that has three different vegetables. I would love to see all of Teresa's work at a show. Thank you Linda.
ReplyDeleteBon WE Catherine
Haha
DeleteJe vous remercie Jean_Claude. ;-)
Wonderful!!! Plenty of great goods!

Maite
DeleteGracias Maite!
What a fantastic collection of treasures Catherine. I too love to see the shelves stocked full. It's one of those views where at first glance you are overwhelmed by how many things there are and then you get to appreciate every tiny detail. Lovely :0)
ReplyDeleteThank you Pepper.
ReplyDeleteGracias!
DeleteSo lovely. 😍 I'm jealous. 😋
ReplyDeleteThank you!
ReplyDeleteYou cannot imagine how many times I look at someone's miniature blog and am pea green with envy. There is always something new to wish for. ;-)
Nothing turns my crank like seeing an array of miniature edibles especially if they include canning!
ReplyDeleteThe colors of the preserves are a feast for the eyes but I also like the partially filled glass jars of dry goods and the beautiful crockery and the boxes in with the mix. A very pleasing and satisfying display of a well-stocked larder and one which any homeowner would be Immensely Proud of! :D
elizabeth
p.s. I am now anxious to see the rest of the kitchen, and hope it will be soon!
Thank you Elizabeth! It sure was fun collecting it all.
ReplyDeleteI love how Teresa mixes just the right colors for canned goods. Even the round disk cut carrots have a slightly lighter circle inside them. She's fantastic!
Oh this is a feast! For the eyes :) Fantastic collection, and the placement in your scene is perfect as is your photography of course. LOVE this!
ReplyDeleteThank you Linda.
