For some unknown reason to me, my camera never gets colors right. The blue in these plates is a bit darker then what you see here.
One of my favorite things in miniature is china. Having looked for a very long time at Stokesay Ware I decided to order a few plates, to use either on the walls or displayed in shelves in the kitchen or a dresser/hutch. http://www.stokesayware.com/
To say they exceeded my expectations doesn't begin to express it. They are indeed perfect in every way. There is some sort of magic for me about them. Maybe it is because they are kiln fired and so thin. This certainly won't be my last order! I am alrealy working on my wish list.
To my blog friends that may think they are too English for their love of French accessories. Look at the Fleur- de- lis design. They are not solid that is a tiny outline of that shape.
This is the Chrysnbon flatware I cast in 14K gold. I think I need to put it back in the tumbler for a couple of days for a good polish now that I look at these photos.
I didn't want a matched set for some reason. I like the fact they are all different but still alike. LOL
The Stokesayware have beautiful china and so have you now ;)Beautiful patterns! Great purchase!
ReplyDeleteCatherine, They are gorgeous and look fab!!!
ReplyDeleteJust wonderful, love it all :)
ReplyDeleteWONDERFUL!! I love the china from Stokesayware!!

You have Stokesay Ware! I regularly go to their website and DROOL over my monitor at their stuff. SO gorgeous. It looks extra perfect with your gold flatware.
ReplyDeleteNina,
ReplyDeleteI have been drooling myself for a very long time. I had to hold a piece of it in my hand to see if it was as good as I thought it was. It IS and more! So I am going to start a collection of it. I learned long ago that the things you find and love in miniature can vanish over night! So I am going to add pieces as often as my conscious will allow me to.
BTW... Does anyone think I was crazy to order all the different designs? They are all 22mm so it isn't like they are different sizes. I looked at their display and loved the mixed mismatch in the cabinets. Somebody tell me what they think. OK?
ReplyDeleteEnhorabuena!!!!
ReplyDeleteEs una verdadera joya, precioso!!!
besitos ascenion
I LOVE the mismatch, actually, Catherine. I collect blue and white in 1:1 (when I say "collect" I don't mean to imply that I buy antique flow blue or anything -- I buy for the look of the thing) and I have pieces in all sorts of different patterns because I like it that way best.
ReplyDeleteYour table looks stunning with the different patterns.
And thanks for the encouragement regarding the excellence of the Stokesay Ware specifically. I was wondering if it was worth the price, and I can see that it is! Maybe I'll do more than just drool ....
Thank you Nina. I was starting to feel like maybe I had made a mistake. I like mismatched things in my real world too.
ReplyDeleteSince my doll house is going to be a cottage rather than a formal sort of house, maybe it was the right choice after all. What ever the case, when it came down to having to make a selection... I wanted them all! LOL Six of one pattern just didn't get me all cranked up.
Beautiful, beautiful! I love the plate in the middle. Really lovely!
ReplyDeleteAre wonderful ... I know their site and I keep a safe distance, in this period of unfavorable economic contingency :-)
ReplyDeleteBut I am happy that you you will be given away, so we enjoy it :-)
Your home will be a jewel, I'm looking forward to admire it in its entirety!
Kisses, flora
Wonderful choice!
ReplyDeleteI have a hutch with several different patterns of Stokesay Ware's blue and white china. I love the variety...and the quality of their work. Mary
Really English looking, beautiful. Last thing I need is another mini additction! "Gee, dear the price of potatoes has just gone sky high..." said the wife regarding the household budget.xo C
ReplyDeleteIt does look like beautiful quality china and I like your choice of assorted patterns. Your cutlery looks great with it. Also love the etching on metal in previous post!
ReplyDeletecan't comment... i'm drooling, too much!! :-) cheers christine
ReplyDeleteThey are exquisite! I've always been a fan of blue and white china (I have some in my dollhouse) and these are just lovely. I recognise some of the patterns from real life! :)
ReplyDeleteThey are beauiful!
ReplyDeleteJody
I know this is an older post and I also love the Stokesay ware china, I have some dishes from the Mulberry collection, but you goldware is driving me nuts. How on earth did you do that. I have been looking for decent cutlery for ages and didn't want to go with plastic, do you have an even older post where you did this. It is so beautiful!!
