Almost Finished

 


 
It may not look like much progress but I would rather stitch half of that rug all over again, then that evil, boring, wider border. It took forever. The last of it was done during a rather debilitating health issue. Which didn't help the annoyance factor. Sorry, I am still feeling grumpy.
 
I know you are never supposed to say never but I think this will be my last rug. They are just too repetitive. I would love to stitch some pillows on 56 count though.....someday. 

Back to work.

    The carpet is magnificent. It is perfectly understandable to be grumpy at this stage but you feel better you will be able to stand back and admire your amazing work. The photo on the top looks fantastic - I had to double take as it looks like it is 1:1 scale. Carol :)

    Not much progress? Are you kidding? You've done an amazing amount of work. It looks absolutely fantastic, the most realistic miniature rug I've seen. Feel better soon , you deserve the rest =0/

    For an evil border it sure is beautiful! This is a huge amount of progress. I can stare for hours and still can't comprehend all those tiny stitches. mind....blown....

      I listen to the radio LBC London while I am stitching. I look at different places on the rug and think I was there When Robing Williams died... I was there when Joan Rivers passed away. I was there when.... Odd way to mark progress huh.

    Your rug is absolutely stunning Catherine...I have to admit...there are many charts out there that I turn down because of the boredom level of many of them, so I fully understand about your borders :-)

    I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!!!! You have done it and it looks
    STUPENDOUS!!!!!! :D It lays flat as a pancake too and the furniture sits so well on it. I know that you have said that you have a little more to go, but what an Achievement!       I think I am most proud of the back. I was very careful not to get knots or wades of threads. I spent a lot of hours undoing those. They just seem to happen.

      An yes, I am not well and it is making me very grumpy. You have made me smile though!

      I do like seeing how much it has grown. It is back on the frame now so I can stitch the narrower border all around. It has consumed 6 months of my life. I couldn't begin to guess how many hours I have spent. LOTS of undoing which is called frogging. That takes a looooong time. It might not have been the best place to start learning petit point.
