Lots of Flowers

As you can see I have been busy.

There are a few things I would rather do then make flowers. Like spend the day with my tax man or go for a colonoscopy. The entire time I kept thinking of dear Elizabeth making that garden all around her house. How did you survive that I wondered?  http://studioeminiatures.blogspot.com/  I survived by listening to one of the Outlander audio books. Good thing it has 47 disks!

Still, I have to admit miniature flowers have loads of charm. I am going to have to work on the color combinations.  I wanted some sort of setting for the French flower buckets, watering cans I made. I am hoping to start making those to sell next year. And yes... this project will have walls. ;-O

I think a cat popping out of a bigger flower pot might be fun next.

    1. I like some of them better than others. My fault I don't like the hydrangeas, I shouldn't have ordered white.

  2. Nothing is too laborious , if you Love doing it! ;D I for one think the same thoughts whenever I look at your metal work, your needlepoint, your arm chairs, your cats and dogs, your nutshell houses and now Your Lovely Flowers! But I would agree that listening to an Audio Book helps during the construction process. Not only are your flower making efforts Wonderful, but the cat in the flower pot idea is already making me chuckle! :))

I shouldn't be surprised to hear so many others listen to books while they are working. It really helps while you are doing repetitive work.

The small pots are just 1/2 inch at the widest point. They are the ones I like.

  8. I think they are lovely. I agreed with you regarding making flowers being tedious, but I have been working on some landscaping lately and have found it a little more enjoyable than I anticipated. Still, I haven’t pulled out my Pascale Garnier Pierre de Ronsard rose kits yet...

    1. Thank you Shannon.

I think landscaping would be fun too. I have daydreamed of a knot garden with brick walkways and climbing roses. I can see small areas for flowers.

    1. Oh no! I hate going to my tax man. He's 86 and demands you sit there with him rather than just dropping the papers off.
Thank you for your kind comment about the flowers.
