GIVE AWAY

I have been working on this little dog all week. I have grown very fond of him. We have spent an incredible number of hours together. He was sculpted out of polymer clay and has a Alpaca fur coat and onyx eyes. If you would like to adopt him please give him a NAME in your comment. Don't concern yourself if someone else has chosen the same name. This is just a bit of fun. It will also help me figure out who is leaving a comment verses who wants him.

On May 15, 2010 I will draw a name and announce the winner and the dogs new name. On that day, I will change my Blog settings so all posts will have to be temporality approved before they can be posted. That way the winner will be able to safely send me their information.

This Give Away is only open to my first 110 Followers. I am a bit late in offering it due to the reasons I gave you in my previous post. Have fun!!!

  1. How exciting Catherine, he is so lovely! Obviously created with a great deal of care :) I would like to give him a French name because if May 15 should be my lucky day then he will be heading to a French apartment that I'm making above the brocante shop. However, I'm having trouble deciding between Alphonse and Claude so if he should come to my home I would just have to wait and see which one he answers to ;)

  2. The dog is SO cute, and his name of course is Tjalfe (a name from the nordic mythologi) Why? because he looks exactly like the west highland terrier my parents had some years ago. If I win I´ll give the dog to my mum as a gift I know she will treasure dearly. She makes dollhouses too. Please let me join the giveaway!

  3. OMG!!!! Are you serious????? First of all, I know dollhouse animal artists that have been making dogs and cats for many, many years, and this little guy is just as good in my opinion! Second, you are GIVING HIM AWAY!!!!???? WOW! Ok, I definitely want a shot at this little pup, so I shall name him....Julius
(as in Caesar, or as in the dog food with the little Westie dog as its mascot)

Thank you so much for the chance of adoption. My suggestion for the name is Lumi, which means snow in finnish. It's more a girl's name really, but I don't mind, the dog is so pretty and looks alert and lovely.

  21. He is adorable!!! And his name is Toby of course!! The french lady of my house was on a holiday in Wales visiting an old and dear friend who was sick. She had to be taken to the hospital for a long time and was worried sick about what would happend to her dear Toby. Chanel (the name of the fr.lady) comforted her old friend by saying she would take him back to Paris and take good care of him until she was healthy and back on her feet!! The old friend cried, she was so relieved. Her worries was of course for Toby and not for her own health!!
The poor old lady died after a week in the hospital. The illness and the longing for her friend Toby was too much.....
There was a lot of tears in Paris too.... but Chanel had a new friend in her lonely life....dear Toby!!!!
I hope you like the little story, and I would love to join the give away
    Catherine!!!

  22. You are a lady of many talents, my dear. This little dog is so fine! I don't have an original name...I like a lot of the ones already mentioned, especially Mac or Magnus (for his Scottish heritage :-)). So I think I'd call him Mags.

  23. Precioso!!!
    besitos ascension

  26. Hi Catherine, your dog is a beauty! I would like to give him the name `Malcolm`. I feel it is the proper name for this dog because thanks to Colonel Edward Donald Malcolm this breed is accepted as West Highland White Terriër. So a tribute to Mr. Malcolm :-)

  29. This dog is very cute and looks like a very pleasant and quiet little dog. On my blog (genevieveminiacollection) there are two little girls who would like to call it snowball. Nina and Lucie are French, so it would also be "boule de neige". Seeing this little white dog they immediately thought of this name. They find it "trop mignon", too sweet.
    Your giveway is absolutely great.

  31. What a fantastic creation!

Of course, I wouldn't want to injure the pup's feelings by assuming it is a boy or a girl. Therefore until I know the sex of the sweet pup, I shall refer to it as Miss Chevious (girl) or Smidgen (boy).

    Lovely work!

  32. I think he looks kindof regal. So I am going to say "Sir Winston" haha

I would really like to talk to you. Kiva has my email address. Would you be willing to ask her to send me yours? I want to ask you some questions about making miniature animals.
Thank you for your very nice compliments about this little Westie.

    Karin, LOL That is hilarious!!!!!!!!!!

Flora, No, I won't be including the shoe with the dog. LOL it is just a prop for the photo shoot. Would you want one shoe?

Synnøve, I love your story! It is a bit sad though.

THANK YOU ALL!!!!!!!! I really appreciate your kind words about my work. I read every single comment in my blog. The ones that are posted in other languages I translate in Babel Fish. What a great bunch of names you have all thought of for him.

  37. Your giveway is absolutely great.

His eyes say I choose the name 'Buddy'. The meaning fits the dog prefect.
I think that such a dog can give inspiration. Can help if I just do not remember. A friend. And above all that it symbolizes my deceased pets. I can not replace them, only rembember and cherish.

Good luck with finding a good home for this beautiful dog.

    Greetings, Roelie

  39. What a fun give-away you came up with! And the doggie is gorgeous!!!

I'd call him "Benz" like our dog. It's short for the car Mercedes Benz. Our doggies mothers name is 'Diesel' so her name had to be something with cars. And we've had a Mercedes for real: it just drove devine and was very loyal ;)

Your miniature dog has the same charming and loyal look!
