What Perfect Timing!


I have been waiting for a couple months for an order from Colin Bird. How nice that it should arrive on my birthday! I couldn't be more delighted! Colin's craftsmanship is always perfection. He has all six legs pegged to the seat. That wasn't something I noticed in his sample photo.

This new settee is very like the chair I have of his. They are both destine to be in a cottage living room. Though not right next to each other (too many spokes in one place).

I have not collected any upholstered pieces for that room. I thought it would be wise to wait to see what color the walls are going to be. One thing that these pieces tell me from photographing them is that I am going to need a lighter colored wood floor or they will disappear.

    These are superb and look so perfect they could pass as real life chairs! We had real carver chairs when I lived in our cottage, we had one at each end of our dining table. Wonderful buys for your birthday! I hope you had a great day!

    A agree with you the floor must be a lighter color, you can't not see good under the chair where the legs are connected, hope my english is a little good?

    Happy belated Birthday Catherine, what a lovely coincidence that such a beautiful piece should arrive on your special day. I see what you mean about too many spokes together, they are both so nice they should stand alone in a room with other upholstered pieces as you say. Such a great photo though, a country home feel, riding boots and all.

    Yes it's working again! Something to do with my security settings and third party cookies I believe. What I don't inderstand is why it was working fine up until two days ago and then it suddenly started without me having changed anything to my settings. And on all of my computers.
