Ribbons & Roses # 56 count Petit Point Cushion

With encouragement from all of you and especially Natalia. I finally finished this piece of petit point.

This design was supposed to be for a fire screen but I knew the moment I saw it, it was just what I needed for the bed I made. I wanted it compliment the wallpaper also. The back of the pillow is finished with a soft gold (antique) silk fabric. I made a black twisted cord to finish the edge with.

  13. Your finished cushion is the perfect compliment to your bedroom scene Catherine! I love the black background of the cushion and the delicacy of the twining ribbon and pink roses. Your talents are Amazing, not only in your needlework skills but also when it comes to interior design. The pink, black and gold color scheme looks feminine and Very pretty. Everything looks balanced and harmonious without looking stiff and/or contrived.
    Beautiful Work all around! :D

  18. It turned out beautifully - so regard the earlier setbacks as a necessary part of the process.
