Finally!
At long last! For well over a year I have wanted a simple basket of croissants! I ordered them from Stephanie Kilgast at PetitPlat. She also sent me a gift of a religieuse. I love it! Thank you so much Stephanie!!!
Something else I have wanted for a long time is a lemon reamer. To go with the hand held strainer and all the other things I made. This boxwood reamer was made by David Edwards. I am delighted with it. I have a slight wait for the bread board I wanted from him with the word BREAD carved into it. Seven YEARS he told me.
I have been working on my next walnut house. It is a shop called Twigs & Berries. Stay tuned. :-)

Perfect items - David Edwards makes the most exquisite things!! Seven years' wait would be well worth it!
ReplyDeleteMore fabulous pieces Catherine to add to an already 'beautiful' collecction.
ReplyDeleteLinda x
Fun stuff.
ReplyDeleteI know you can make that bread board in about days worth of hours. Go for it!
Que fantasticas piezas!!!
ReplyDeleteHa quedado una mesa preciosa.
besitos ascension
Beatiful pieces, the table looks perfect. But on the right side you have a wonderful pitcher with silver at the top.Would you tell me who is the maker ?Jeannette
ReplyDeleteJeanette... I made the sterling silver pour spout and my friend Frank Whittemore blew the glass for me. He made the pitcher first. It has a lip the silver pour spout rests on.
ReplyDeleteI have to make more sterling silver for all the other glass serving pieces he made for me to do the same with. I have another pitcher and several other things I should work on. It is just a matter of finding where I stashed the glass now. LOL
Oh, so are you going to wait Catherine?;) Beautiful setting - love all miniatures you have on and around the table:)
ReplyDelete¡Es una mesa preciosa! realmente perfecta! felicidades! Un beso. Maria
ReplyDeleteNo, I am not going to wait... I just heard from Linda Masters. She is going to make me the bread board. YIPPEE!!! I don't know what i was thinking. Her wood carving is the best I have EVER seen!!!!!!!!!!!!

Catherine, What a glorious scene! I love the croissants and that reamer is incredible! How amazing to have a 7 year waiting list for commissioned work!! You are lucky to have received one of his pieces!!! Everything looks so fab!!! I love your style!
ReplyDeletePatty, The good news is I have found someone else to make me the bread cutting board, Linda Master. She said she can get started on it in a couple of days. I know I will be thrilled with her work. She is a fantastic artist. Her wood carving is magnificent. I am sure when it arrives I will show it here.
