I haven't been doing much work lately. I had to have a bit of surgery on my right hand and I am right handed). It so much better now! :-)
It has been driving me crazy not to be working on something!!! So, I thought I would try and make some flowers. This is a beautiful kit made by
http://www.wam-miniaturen.com/page4.htm#div Hydrangeas are one of my favorites. I love the light blues and pinks.
The watering can has been finished for several days but I had not put a finish on it. Our humidity has been so high that I wanted to wait for a good day when it was low to do it. I may not see another one until October! The part of the pour spout (head) with the holes in it is brass.
I am pretty pleased with it. In a few days I will start on another one. This one is leaving for it's new home this week.
It all looks wonderful! The watercan is amazing!
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful photos Catherine. I adore the hydrangeas, they are spectacular...but there are no words to describe the amazing watering can!
ReplyDeleteHappy to have you back and pleased to hear that your hand is on the mend!

The watering can is perfect and it looks so real. So do the flowers. I thought they were 1:1 scale.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about having your surgery. I had surgery on my left arm and I'm left handed. It took several years for me to regain the use of it. I'm a pretty lousy right-handed artist.
Dear Catherine,
ReplyDeleteOf course, your watering can is wonderful. And the hydrangeas are gorgeous.
I am not sure I perfectly understood : did you already have surgery ? If so, I am sure you feel better now and I hope your hand will come back to normal very soon.

ReplyDeleteAwwww Thanks Patty! ;-)
I have a few more hand surgeries in my future but not right now. I hope! I have to see how it goes.
Yes, the spout still pours. Not in a patterned sprinkle though. That cannot happen due to the viscosity of water.
The watering was beautiful! It is unbelievable that really works. It takes a lot of talent and patience to create something like this. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteThe watering can is beautiful! So are the flowers, those kits are really wonderful, I have made a few of them myself!!!
