  5. Tina,

I am so sorry to hear of your friends loss. I think it is one of the most heart breaking things in life. I know it has been in mine.

It is very strange that I listed this miniature on EBay tonight.

  8. Very good luck with the auction!

Personally I hate Ebay. I don't like the time limit when you're bidding against someone, which of course you don't have with a regular auction. Also I don't like it when you want to buy something and you really don't have a clue how much it could go for.
As a consequence I never buy from Ebay unless it has a 'buy now' option.
Anyway, not many people share my dislike it seems, or otherwise it would not be such a success.

    1. I thought it would be fun to try an auction. It is very RISKY when you put a very low price on something you spent so many hours making. Timing is everything I think. One week something might not sell at all and then you might list it again in a week or two and it might go for more than you ever expected. It's a gamble.

  10. Good luck, Catherine. Auctions can be so "iffy" sometimes... depends who is in the "room".

In someways, I agree with Josje but I think auctions can be useful in determining a price point.

  18. Sorry I'm so late, Catherine, but I just had to say how much I ADORE your little dog! As an owner of not one, but TWO Shelties --one bi-black&white and the other bi-blue-- I can attest to the astounding realism you have achieved in the breed. Your rendering brought a little tear to my eye (for real)!
