Braxton Payne made the terracotta flower pots next to the front door. They even have a hole in the bottom of the pot. I am not happy with those flowers. They are not glued in so at some point I will re-do them.
Too bad the color of the 'lavender' garden on the right isn't true. It is the perfect color in RL.
Linda Master made me the beautiful cherry wood frame molding that surrounds the garden. THANK YOU Linda!
Wow Catherine, it looks even more beautiful with your tiny garden now :D! Linda did a great job on the frame!
ReplyDeleteYes, I know what you mean with the lavender blue color......blue and purple are two colors which are very difficult to photograph, they always looks different than in real life is my experience ;)!
Hugs, Ilona
Thank you!
DeleteI do like my camera but I wish it photographed colors accurately. ;-(
Catherine , c' est magnifique !
ReplyDeleteJ'adore . c'est un travail merveilleux .
Gros bisous
Merci Catherine
DeleteOh Catherine.....it is EXQUISITE!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Linda. I am soooo glad it's finished. I was starting to hate it.
DeleteWat een prachtig huis met tuin heb je.
ReplyDeleteGroeten Xandra
Dank je wel! Ik ben blij dat je het leuk vindt.
DeleteHello Catherine! What a lovely little English garden! I love the ivy creeping up the sides of the house and also the lavender and the hedgerow under the window! Your little pots on either side of the front path are very cheerful and the path itself is perfect! What a charming home for a very tiny person! Really Beautiful workmanship Catherine, and, oh by the way.... did you ever find the little flying blue chair? :D
ReplyDeleteelizabeth
Thank you Elizabeth!
DeleteNo, I am afraid I have not found the chair yet. I am NOT messy, so it astonishes me that I have never found it. It will turn up as soon as I make another one. haha
Unbelievable! This is so great! I didn't get this far with my 1:144 house, I just stopped half-done.. but I can feel the inspiration to go on with it is coming right back at me ;)
ReplyDeleteHannah
Thanks Hannah!
DeleteI am very glad to hear you are going to finish your 1; 144 scale house. I will keep an eye on your blog to see it, when and if you post some pictures.
This is such an amazingly complete and tiny project!!! I will miss it... but I am sure you will show us something else Fantastic in its place!!!
ReplyDeleteI will try the 144th scale decorations Someday! But at the moment I am having a lot of fun with the 1:48 scale! The details you have managed to make are just astonishing! I can imagine the chair disappearing... it probably landed up in a plant leaf or someplace utterly unexpected!!!
As usual I am in Awe of your workmanship!!!
Thank you Betsy! What a kind sweet comment. I was starting to feel guilty about so many posts about this project.
ReplyDeleteI will have to check the leaves of the plants that are near by. It could be there! ;-)
The garden finishes it off beautifully, it is difficult to imagine just how small it is.
ReplyDeleteThank you Margaret. I really had fun making the garden.
ReplyDeleteWow Catherine, magnificent is such an understatement! I'm just sitting here staring....
ReplyDeleteAwwww thanks Linda!
ReplyDeleteThe Whispers is stunning from its name to its very last detail. I think the framing has finished it off beautifully too. The small scale has a special charm.
ReplyDeleteThank you Sharee. I happen to really like the name too. I may use it for a 1: 12 scale house someday.
DeleteDear Catherine, your 144 scale house is absolutely beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat work, I love it.
Thank you Karin. It is so nice to see you, virtually that is. I have loved seeing your 1: 144 scale cottages. They are as beautiful as your 1: 12 scale ones.
DeleteHi Catherine! You surely didn´t bore me with this project, I actually love it when miniaturists show the progress and things get more and more complete with every post. The cottage is wonderful and so detailed with a wonderful garden. I also like the frame from Linda and I hope to see this house one day in your 12th scale dollhouse - it must look so stunning!
ReplyDeleteSandra
I am certainly glad to hear you weren't bored. I was getting worried about all these posts. Thank you for your kind comment Sandra.
DeleteEs una casa preciosa.
ReplyDeleteBesujis!!
Obrigado!

Catherine
DeleteEs preciosa. Me encanta la fachada y el jardín.
ReplyDeleteGracias. Me alegro de que te gustaba el jardín también.
DeleteThis is a tiny masterpiece, an absolute joy to behold Catherine. Even in this tiny scale you have captured the palpable ambience of a house with a 'history', but is also full of the energy of ongoing daily life. The garden evokes a feeling of real joy. I'm totally in love!
ReplyDeleteOh my Norma! Thank you so much. I am delighted to hear you like the house. ;-)
ReplyDeleteOh this is so lovely! The garden is absolutely gorgeous! I admire your skills at such small scale. Your house is so inviting and detailed. It was a pleasure to follow its progress!
ReplyDeleteVéronique

ReplyDeleteWonderful! I really like the little garden.
