The four Month Mark... Petit Point Carpet Progress

I usually don't post the progress pictures until around the 18th of the month. I finished the interior of the carpet this morning and had to take it off the frame to turn it around. Once I get it back on, most of what I have stitched will be rolled up on the bars again.

Now... off to the borders. That wider one looks like it is going to be a nightmare. I am glad I didn't start there. I think I would have thrown the whole thing out the window if I had tried to teach myself how to do this from there..

This is a big carpet. Finished it is 11 X 8 1/2 inches.

    1. It is Catherine S's master piece. She did a fantastic job charting the carpet. I am just the trained monkey stitching it. haha

    1. Thank you Elizabeth. I really appreciate you taking time to leave me a comment.

I don't think I am that close to being finished. The hardest part remains and there are several square inches left to stitch. I am sort of dreading this next phase. ;-0

  10. Dear Catherine, it is an amazing work of art. I can only imagine how demanding it must be to keep the stitches correctly counted and such good tension. Please tell me again where you will use it?

  13. Thank you Josje. I still have a long way to go. I excited to see what the dark navy in the border does to set off the rest of it.

  15. Hi Margaret,

Christmas slowed things up a bit. I am into the wider border now though. There are a lot of square inches of those last two borders.

Thank you for the X-Mas wishes. I hope you had a good one too.
