Exquisite work, Catherine! Neat, speedy and a lot of patience! Love the choice of colors you chose. Borders can be boring and annoying to stitch, but they frame the rug perfectly adding a lot of details and charm. Can't wait to see the whole finished piece! Mini hugs, Natalia
Oh Catherine, that border does look insane......wonderful but insane! I can see why you were worried about.....but it does looks fabulous! You are going from the intense detail of this carpet to the intense detail of a nuthouse.....sigh...?! Linda xxx
Catherine, you are Amazing! Your persistence and devotion to your project are remarkable! It is just plain Gorgeous! I really think it is the most Amazing mini carpet ever! I am sure your new nutshell house will amaze me too!
Hé!Hé! Je vois que ça avance à grands pas! C'est drôle, je n'ai pas regretté un seul instant d'avoir commencé par la bordure. Allez! Encore un petit effort! Nathalie
I am APPLAUDING you for your endurance in slugging through this, the most tedious bit. Even from the small sections in the photos, one can that what you have done to date, is no small achievement. This rug is a MASTERPIECE, so keep at it Catherine. :))
es una verdadera maravilla... que paciencia tienes con esa tela, yo aun no he podido mas que bordar cosas muy pequeñas, no se si podría con algo tan grande...
I've been away so long I feel like I scarely know what's going on in the mini world. I'm so glad to see that you continue to make progress on your beautiful rug (many folk of lesser fortitude and patience would have abandoned it by now). Also delighted to see that you have a new friend at your place, Merlin's slightly crossed eyes only add to his charm I think.
c'est bientôt fini Catherine . Vous allez bientôt être récompensée de tous vos efforts . je suis aussi préssée que vous de le voir fini . Il va être magnifique .
Welcome to my blog!
I am artist and a metalsmith. I have always loved miniatures and dollhouses. My interest in making miniatures is not restricted to the metal work I do. This year I plan to design and build a dollhouse.
I do not sell the miniatures I am making right now while I am trying to build my own collection.
