I hated to throw away the silk that was left over from making the chair. There was just enough left to make an ottoman. Not that I feel I have to use it in the house but at least it is an option.
Greetings Cathrine, both the chair and ottoman are stunning i love the pattern on the fabric and they both compliment each other perfectly. Many thanks for your tip about shoes on my blog post, if you do have any spare paper thin leather i would be very happy to accept some from you as its not so easy to come by. Tony
Hello Catherine! Your ottoman is wonderful and a perfect compliment to the chair. You have mastered upholstery, but that is no surprise from someone so talented as yourself! Good wishes to you from Ray
J aime moi aussi avoir plusieurs options . Cela permet de changer d avis et de ne pas avoir de regrets . J aime beaucoup le pouf , il peut aller dans différentes pièces . Sa taille est parfaite .
Absolutely perfect!!! Perfectly symmetrical design. And considering you just had leftovers to work with that is AMAZING!!!!! You are SOOOO talented! I love looking at your pictures over and over---
It is such a nice fabric it would be a sin to throw that away ;-) Now William Morris said: Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful. The footstool is both, a definite keeper!
Julie always shares my ottoman when we sit in front of the TV...almost a must for our furry friends. Love the neatness of your work, I had to smile about the pattern matching, makes me feel I am not alone in the quest to make things in the best way possible.....
And it is a wonderful idea to use it for an ottoman. I followed your experience with upholstery and I have to say, you do it really like a master. I have tried that many years ago and I know, how difficult it is . Congrats to another step in miniature, which you command perfect !!!
Hello Catherine, That is one of the msot beautiful fabrics I've seen. You did such a great job on the furniture. They look so rich and so elegant. Beautiful work! Big hug, Giac
Welcome to my blog!
I am artist and a metalsmith. I have always loved miniatures and dollhouses. My interest in making miniatures is not restricted to the metal work I do. This year I plan to design and build a dollhouse.
I do not sell the miniatures I am making right now while I am trying to build my own collection.
