I have received a beautiful gift from the very talented Oiseau. Just look at these gorgeous pastries!!! I am so thrilled to have them in my collection. They are just perfect!
I have seen and read about French macaroons and pastries in so many miniature blog sites. I was feeling my collection was quite deprived and me too for that matter! I am sure the first thing I am going to do if I ever get to France is head straight for the nearest macaroon for my first real bite (a coffee flavored one I think). I am so curious about them.
Do check out her blog to see all of her gorgeous work on her blog and in her ETSY shop!. http://www.etsy.com/shop/oiseaudenim http://oiseaudenim.blogspot.com/
Thank you soooooo very much Oiseau! I adore them.
Dear Catherine,
ReplyDeleteYour miniature collections are gorgeous but I hope these biscuits go well with your mini table.
You are a very nice and generous person.
A big thank-you to you too!
Oiseau :)
OMG! You must be kidding, :-) they are going to take pride of place on a table with a teapot and tea cups in my house. I just love them!
ReplyDeleteCatherine, I like you have never tasted a Macaroon. Beautiful gifts xxxx
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice gift, they really are wonderful :)
ReplyDeleteWow, those are really beautiful. What a lovely and generous gift!
ReplyDeleteDebbie,
ReplyDeleteWe must really be missing out on one of the finer things in life (French Macaroons). I am ready to call Laudree and ask them to mail me some. I don't care if they arrive stale or petrified. I want to know what all the 'woo hoo' is about. LOL
Really beautiful and sweeeeeeeet :-)
ReplyDeleteLovely miniatures, Oiseau du Nim is very talented :) I'm sure that your new sweets will look wonderfully in your mini collection!

Catherine, Lucky you!!! Oiseau is such a talented artist and her food is so delicate looking!! I found a bakery about 45 minutes from me that had macarons and they are like a bite of heaven!!! Just melt in your mouth goodness!!! I hope you taste one soon!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely gift to receive - I too am Macaroon deprived! I keep promising myself some for my Tearooms.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen a macaron but your tiny precious gift looks delicious! Lucky you!!
ReplyDeleteCatherine you are one lucky gal! I hope to own some of Peiwen's things too! Thank you so much for sharing the photos!
ReplyDeleteI only recently tasted one . Yes quite a few pastry shops sell macaroons here . :) Hmmmm, I think I prefer rum balls :):) Don't shoot me , macaroon lovers :).
ReplyDeleteGosh I am so curious! I have a "French Bakery" across the street from me but they don't have macaroons. They thought I was talking about the coconut cookies! LOL
ReplyDeleteAs far as rum balls so I haven't had one in years. I do remember loving them!
Her work is lovely! So glad you have some of her pieces in your collection!
