He looks very cheery!
ReplyDeleteHe looks like a kind and happy man. Congratulations. I don't know what he should wear, but nothing too serious.
ReplyDeleteGeneviève
Enhorabuena, es una cabeza perfecta, me encanta.
ReplyDeletebesitos ascension
Catherine, You are really good at sculpting!! Wilbur came out really good..........maybe dress him like a clown!
ReplyDeleteEsa niña estará feliz con esta cabeza. La has hecho perfecta. Espero que ella te deje fotografiarlo pra presentarlo aqui cuando está completo.
ReplyDeleteBesos Clara
Wilbur looks great Catherine. Maybe you could dress him in a Check shirt and comfy trousers..x
ReplyDeleteWilbour turns out great Catherine, love his friendly face.I would dress him with check shirt too and a corduroys with suspenders.Perhaps a cap would be also looking good ;-)!Hugs,Jeannette
ReplyDeleteYour talents always amazes me every time I look at your blog! You make and dress dolls, metalwork, poly food, embroidery! Very cool!
ReplyDeleteI think you should dress him in a short sleeved button up shirt, overalls, and a hat. He looks like he can be going fishing.
That's a really nice sculpt, Catherine. Costuming is always the hardest part. He has such a kindly, gentle expression. I'd put him some worn, baggy trousers, old, drappy shirt and maybe an open vest...with a pocket watch(?). Comfy clothes.
ReplyDeleteI assume you are going tp elminate this post when you post him "all done"?
....your really do scare me Catherine, is there really any thing that you cannot do...!
ReplyDeleteI have been meaning to reply to your email....sorry! But we sleep late then walk for the remainder of the day....went to Lea's, she wasn't in her shop, but I bought a really sweet little dress that she made.
Oooops......sorry to fill-up your comments page with my jabber.
Regards from Paris....Linda x
What a wonderful face!
ReplyDeleteVery funny face!!!
ReplyDeleteI would put maybe curly hair, not much.
Pants with suspenders and a plaid shirt in bright colors.
Congratulations!!
I see him as a cruise ship regular. I think he should have a Hawaiian skirt, boardshorts and flip flops!
ReplyDeleteHe is such a nice little guy. I truly like him. He cannot be primly dressed, just comfy, homely clothes as cheery as he is. You are so incredibly good at anything you try !!!! Rosanna
ReplyDeleteHe's got such a great character!!
ReplyDeleteI'm with Debbie on this one - comfy tweedy baggy-at-the-knees gardening clothes!
Thanks Ladies!
ReplyDeleteI agree that Wilbur needs a pair of worn baggy pants and some sort of a check shirt. I love the idea of suspenders too. He does need a cap and a little more clay on the top of his head...more skull. I think his arms and legs will be cloth and his feet and hands clay of course.
Susan I have no idea when he will be finished. He isn't a priority. I do have real work to do that I don't post on my blog. :-)
Catherine you have many talents, he is amazing. I think he looks like a happy farmer, working the land. Maybe old, worn overalls, check shirt. Or perhaps a mechanic, with grease all over him? Can see you are having fun!
ReplyDeleteMargaret,
ReplyDeleteI see Wilbur as a kindly, goofy, low IQ, mechanic.
He is the sort that wears pen (plastic)protectors in his gas station uniform shirt pocket. I also see him in a check shirt or faded plaid with baggy pants and suspenders.
He is going to be very tall and thin. I love the idea of him being covered in grease spots.
Mamma mia, Catherine!
ReplyDeleteI'm so catalyzed by the face of your creature that I can not imagine his clothes ... Your talent is fascinating.
Mini hugs, Flora
bellissimo, sei bravissima, una vera artisto
ReplyDeleteWOW! (again). What a great sculpt Catherine. Your little helper is going to just love him to death. Can't wait to see him finished.
ReplyDeletegreat face! Dress him in baggy pants & floppy shoes
ReplyDeletehugs Karin

ReplyDeleteI love your blog and your work.
