I had forgotten how perfect Braxton Payne's terra cotta flower pots are, until Linda Carswell reminded me. I bought several from him many years ago at a show in Chicago. These are ones I ordered from him not long ago. They are so thin and they even have a drainage hole in the bottom of the pot. Yes, they are kiln fired! http://www.braxtonpayne.com/HomePages/HOME.htm
I have admired Pascale Garnier's flower kits for a long time. This weekend I indulged my self in putting together two of her Geranium kits. I know it won't be long until I order from her again. I really enjoyed making them.
Yancey... That is not a fire hydrant! ;-)
Pretty flowers and pots too! Hope to see more flowers here soon ;D
ReplyDeletePerfect¡¡¡¡ Where do you bougth Pascale Garnier kits? I'm looking for
ReplyDeleteI am afraid she has not got a web site. I will post her email address so you can write her. This is the address she uses to contact her for a list of her kits. I paid her through PayPal. I don't think she accepts anything else by mail order. pascale-garnier@sfr.fr
ReplyDeleteIt makes me laugh to think that you are sitting on one side of the world making Pascale's kits, while I am sitting on the other side....also making Pascale's kits. I have been working in the 'Marguerite d'Anvers'....I hope mine turn-out as fabulous as yours geranims have done.
ReplyDeleteAs you already know I am a big fan of Braxton Payne's pots....aren't they fabulous!!!
Linda x
Thank you for reminding me about Braxton. :-) Yes, his pots are just the best.
ReplyDeleteI do wish you weren't so far away. :-( Think of all the fun we could have! :-)
I was planning about some flowers as well. may be the campanules. But I started stitching instead.
ReplyDeletePascale's kits are truly the best. Have fun, Rosanna
Thank you for the bright and cheery photos. It's nice to be reminded of sunshine and warmer weather. The geraniums are beautiful. The petals look so delicate. And I too love Braxton Payne's pots! Hmmm... I think I'll take a look at his site and make a few pot purchases too :)
ReplyDeleteYou have made the geraniums so well Catherine and they are perfect in those delicate, so realistic pots. I have some flower kits ordered and am deciding what to order from Pascale, can't resist after seeing yours and I know Linda's will be stunning too.
ReplyDeleteEspectacular trabajo¡¡¡Te han quedado perfectos¡¡¡Enhorabuena¡¡¡

Catherine, Those really came out so wonderful! The pots are perfect too! What other flower kits did you get??
ReplyDeletePatty,
ReplyDeleteI have a variegated English ivy, two colors of roses anciennes and a couronne imperiale, bearded iris, Cyclamen, Daffodils, hydranges and a Stargazer lily that has to be painted. I better plan on having a garden. LOL
As usual, you would not think at all that these miniature flowers, potted miniature ... They are perfect and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI see that around the world, under the snow or sunshine, there's always wanted to spring :-)
the pots are wonderful indeed and the geraniums are beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteI do love red geraniums (or I should say pelargoniums) in clay pots, I always have a few in my own garden too.
ReplyDeleteI thought the pots I have were by the same maker as yours, but they are slightly different. Pascale's kits are very nice!
Congrats on your 300 followers, no doubt they will shoot up this year to many hundreds more!
Best wishes for a happy and creative 2011! ~Josje~
