Tina,
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry to hear of your friends loss. I think it is one of the most heart breaking things in life. I know it has been in mine.
It is very strange that I listed this miniature on EBay tonight.
I think its fate, sometimes things work out just right. Your work is amazing btw :)
DeleteI would love to adopt the Sheltie but I am afraid he will keeep hunting my Guinea Pigs at home. :-) So...good luck with the auction. I hope it won't be too difficult for you to let the Sheltie go...
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the auction! It´s a beautyful dog
ReplyDeleteand I hope he will find a good new home!!
Greetings
Melanie
Very good luck with the auction!
ReplyDeletePersonally I hate Ebay. I don't like the time limit when you're bidding against someone, which of course you don't have with a regular auction. Also I don't like it when you want to buy something and you really don't have a clue how much it could go for.
As a consequence I never buy from Ebay unless it has a 'buy now' option.
Anyway, not many people share my dislike it seems, or otherwise it would not be such a success.
I thought it would be fun to try an auction. It is very RISKY when you put a very low price on something you spent so many hours making. Timing is everything I think. One week something might not sell at all and then you might list it again in a week or two and it might go for more than you ever expected. It's a gamble.
DeleteIam sure he will find a good home Catherine, he is outstanding.
ReplyDeleteGood luck, Catherine. Auctions can be so "iffy" sometimes... depends who is in the "room".
ReplyDeleteIn someways, I agree with Josje but I think auctions can be useful in determining a price point.
Good luck with auction Catherine! I am sure he will find a good home soon!
ReplyDeleteHugs
Good luck! Your dog is so special and beautiful---
ReplyDeleteCatherine, this dog is awesome, I am sure he will find a good home soon. Good luck with the gambling ;)
ReplyDeleteHugs, Ilona
Good luck, Catherine. But I must tell you that I could not possibly part with this dog. He is just too adorable. It's like this dog is alive. He has so much personality. I love his sweet face!
ReplyDeleteOMG, Catherine, I have a RL 'bi-blue merle' and when I saw your posts, I almost LOST IT, I was so thrilled! It's TOO exquisite FOR WORDS! OK, now I know where to go....
ReplyDeleteOh Catherine! He is amazing! You do the most incredible artwork! Oh my! What a delight he is. The new owner will be so ecstatic!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Terri
Amazing work!!! Seems that he is alive!!!
ReplyDeleteI´ve followed you for a long time, so now, that I´ve created a blog I´ve linked you! If you like to take a look here is the link http://riversidemanorproject.blogspot.com.es
Sorry I'm so late, Catherine, but I just had to say how much I ADORE your little dog! As an owner of not one, but TWO Shelties --one bi-black&white and the other bi-blue-- I can attest to the astounding realism you have achieved in the breed. Your rendering brought a little tear to my eye (for real)!
ReplyDeleteOh John! You are such a nice guy. Thank you! I hope you will email me a couple of photos of your dogs. I would love to see them both.
DeleteI bet the new owner is just as happy as you Catherine....very well done!!!!
ReplyDeleteI sure hope they will be. :-))
DeleteOh well done Catherine! Makes sculpting a lot more attractive, doesn't it? ;-))))))))))))))
ReplyDeleteIt is a very good start for someone that hates polymer clay. :-)
DeletePerhaps you could make and sell some of your Westies? They were/are absolutely adorable!!
ReplyDeleteskulptress,
DeleteThat is a very good idea. Thank you. :-)
