Cookie Please

Kilmouski is always in his high chair right next to me while I'm working. Which is a huge wood tray affixed to a tall kitchen stool. The tray has a thick cushion with a baby blanket over it.

Long ago...I taught him to shake hands and sit up by grabbing his right paw then giving him a treat. I had no idea when I did that I gave him a voice. Now when he wants one he puts up a paw. If I ignore him he sits up like a rabbit. That is my breaking point. When he does that, I have to stop working and give him a "cookie".

Asleep at last. I am getting close to finishing two pieces I have been sculpting. I will post some photos in the next few days.

  1. Aaawww.... sweet!! Aren't they irresistible... How very well behaved of him to stay on his chair instead of zigzagging between you supplies, tools and projects on your worktable :-)

  2. That is so lovely that Kilmouski is beside you when you are working. He is just gorgeous and obviously a very intelligent cat too - knows how to get a cookie when he wants one!

  3. Wait...you mean I'm not the only one?!

My cat has a "high chair" too, and sits on it right next to me whether I'm hard at work on a very tiny house or eating dinner. Sometimes, he still tries to get on my work table. Thankfully, I haven't found any cat hair or paw prints in my current build (yet)...

    1. Awww. It sounds like you have a dog like cat that always wants to be with you too. They are great company.
Kilmouski doesn't get on tables or upholstered chairs. I was lucky he responded to that training. He does have certain wood chairs he knows he can get on.

My two cats stay always near me when I sit in my sofa and knit or crochet. The best companion ever!

Dear Catherine, I take this opportunity to let you know that I'm alive and I'm fine, just very overwhelmed with things to do :-)

  10. Hi Catherine! Well, a loved cat definately needs a baby blanket to feel well :-) I just wondered, should I learn this to Pimpf, too or would he then spend 20 hours a day standing like a rabbit? How often does Kilmousky want a cookie???
    Thanks for showing Kilmousky!
