I have been working on this little dog all week. I have grown very fond of him. We have spent an incredible number of hours together. He was sculpted out of polymer clay and has a Alpaca fur coat and onyx eyes. If you would like to adopt him please give him a NAME in your comment. Don't concern yourself if someone else has chosen the same name. This is just a bit of fun. It will also help me figure out who is leaving a comment verses who wants him.
On May 15, 2010 I will draw a name and announce the winner and the dogs new name. On that day, I will change my Blog settings so all posts will have to be temporality approved before they can be posted. That way the winner will be able to safely send me their information.
This Give Away is only open to my first 110 Followers. I am a bit late in offering it due to the reasons I gave you in my previous post. Have fun!!!
How exciting Catherine, he is so lovely! Obviously created with a great deal of care :) I would like to give him a French name because if May 15 should be my lucky day then he will be heading to a French apartment that I'm making above the brocante shop. However, I'm having trouble deciding between Alphonse and Claude so if he should come to my home I would just have to wait and see which one he answers to ;)
ReplyDeleteThe dog is SO cute, and his name of course is Tjalfe (a name from the nordic mythologi) Why? because he looks exactly like the west highland terrier my parents had some years ago. If I win I´ll give the dog to my mum as a gift I know she will treasure dearly. She makes dollhouses too. Please let me join the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteOMG!!!! Are you serious????? First of all, I know dollhouse animal artists that have been making dogs and cats for many, many years, and this little guy is just as good in my opinion! Second, you are GIVING HIM AWAY!!!!???? WOW! Ok, I definitely want a shot at this little pup, so I shall name him....Julius
ReplyDelete(as in Caesar, or as in the dog food with the little Westie dog as its mascot)
I would name him Westly. He is adorable. I would love to have him in one of my houses. What a beautiful dog. You are so talented.
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing give-away...he is fantastic.
ReplyDeleteAs soon as I saw him, I thought he is as cute as a button....so my name for him would be "Buttons".
Congratulations on your beautiful work!!
Linda x
Catherine, my daughter and her boyfriend are just about to get a Westie!! This little guy is sooo gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI'd name him that most Scottish of names, simply 'Mac'.
Glenda
Catherine - he's adorable! Great job! He looks like the little white "Maggie" dog in the dogfood commercials...but it's a boy, so how about "Magnus".
ReplyDeleteCynthia
He is beautiful, thank you for this chance of adopting him. I'd call him Briciola is cute and tiny and we call briciola our babies. Rosanna
ReplyDeleteWow! You are amazing with sculpting and fibres!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the chance of adoption. My suggestion for the name is Lumi, which means snow in finnish. It's more a girl's name really, but I don't mind, the dog is so pretty and looks alert and lovely.
Hanna
He's so cute!! For me he should be named "Olivier" then you can call him more simply like "Oli" :)
ReplyDeleteHi Caterina, he is so lovely!!!
ReplyDeleteHe reminds me on my dog that died a few months ago, he had always the same look in his eyes.
So, I call him "Jordy" like my dog.
Sylvia
Wow what a give away! And can't stop beign amazed how talented you are :)
ReplyDeleteHe's so cute, would go to my Toscana house. I should give him an Italian name, but for some reason he looks like Alfonse :)

Flora
P.S. The shoe is part of the kit? Is equally beautiful!

Catherine your little Westie is lovely. He looks like a little Prince. So that's what I'd call him "Prince". x

He is adorable!!! And his name is Toby of course!! The french lady of my house was on a holiday in Wales visiting an old and dear friend who was sick. She had to be taken to the hospital for a long time and was worried sick about what would happend to her dear Toby. Chanel (the name of the fr.lady) comforted her old friend by saying she would take him back to Paris and take good care of him until she was healthy and back on her feet!! The old friend cried, she was so relieved. Her worries was of course for Toby and not for her own health!!
ReplyDeleteThe poor old lady died after a week in the hospital. The illness and the longing for her friend Toby was too much.....
There was a lot of tears in Paris too.... but Chanel had a new friend in her lonely life....dear Toby!!!!
I hope you like the little story, and I would love to join the give away
Catherine!!!
Synnøve x
You are a lady of many talents, my dear. This little dog is so fine! I don't have an original name...I like a lot of the ones already mentioned, especially Mac or Magnus (for his Scottish heritage :-)). So I think I'd call him Mags.
ReplyDeleteTabitha
Precioso!!!
The first name that poped into my head was Bentley. He is soooo cute!
ReplyDeleteHi Catherine, your dog is a beauty! I would like to give him the name `Malcolm`. I feel it is the proper name for this dog because thanks to Colonel Edward Donald Malcolm this breed is accepted as West Highland White Terriër. So a tribute to Mr. Malcolm :-)
ReplyDeleteHugs, Lara
He looks like a Samson.. That is the first name that came to mind when I saw him. I would love to adopt him and I'm sure I wouldn't get in trouble for bringing this kind of animal home. lol. He is adorable.
ReplyDeleteCatherine hello, your give away is exceptional to say the least! I love that little white nose! if I win the prize I will call "BIRBA" (in Italian means rascal, brat!) because it has a little face by little, lovable rogue!! I already imagine him strolling in my doll's house, looking for a piece of biscuit ...
ReplyDeleteI very much hope to win!
kisses, Caterina
This dog is very cute and looks like a very pleasant and quiet little dog. On my blog (genevieveminiacollection) there are two little girls who would like to call it snowball. Nina and Lucie are French, so it would also be "boule de neige". Seeing this little white dog they immediately thought of this name. They find it "trop mignon", too sweet.
ReplyDeleteYour giveway is absolutely great.
Geneviève
The little dog is amazing! I would name "Tinky",I would love have a real dog but I can,t,but in my dollhouse there's not be a problem.I love your work, miregards.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic creation!
ReplyDeleteOf course, I wouldn't want to injure the pup's feelings by assuming it is a boy or a girl. Therefore until I know the sex of the sweet pup, I shall refer to it as Miss Chevious (girl) or Smidgen (boy).
Lovely work!
I think he looks kindof regal. So I am going to say "Sir Winston" haha
ReplyDeleteWhat a cuty!!!
ReplyDeletePerhaps he would like to be called "Muffin".
Lotti :0)
He's darling! I've been working on a my Bull Terrier and he's too big for 1 inch scale. I know how much work and skill that has gone into this little cutie. He's fabulous! I'd name him Sheldon.
ReplyDeleteWhat a delightful puppy you have made! How exciting to have a chance of owning him!! I think the name Luca fits him to a tee!!
ReplyDeleteKristy, This was my second animal sculpt. The cat was the first. I LOVE making them. I can see how easy it would be for me to get serious about doing these.
ReplyDeleteI would really like to talk to you. Kiva has my email address. Would you be willing to ask her to send me yours? I want to ask you some questions about making miniature animals.
Thank you for your very nice compliments about this little Westie.
Karin, LOL That is hilarious!!!!!!!!!!
Flora, No, I won't be including the shoe with the dog. LOL it is just a prop for the photo shoot. Would you want one shoe?
Synnøve, I love your story! It is a bit sad though.
THANK YOU ALL!!!!!!!! I really appreciate your kind words about my work. I read every single comment in my blog. The ones that are posted in other languages I translate in Babel Fish. What a great bunch of names you have all thought of for him.
Thanks for visiting!
Catherine X
Your giveway is absolutely great.
ReplyDeleteHis eyes say I choose the name 'Buddy'. The meaning fits the dog prefect.
I think that such a dog can give inspiration. Can help if I just do not remember. A friend. And above all that it symbolizes my deceased pets. I can not replace them, only rembember and cherish.
Good luck with finding a good home for this beautiful dog.
Greetings, Roelie

What a fun give-away you came up with! And the doggie is gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteI'd call him "Benz" like our dog. It's short for the car Mercedes Benz. Our doggies mothers name is 'Diesel' so her name had to be something with cars. And we've had a Mercedes for real: it just drove devine and was very loyal ;)
Your miniature dog has the same charming and loyal look!
groetjes Evelien
He is adorable. I couldn't bear to part with him.
ReplyDeleteI would call him Nelson.
What a cutie so of course that should be his name - Cutie.
ReplyDeleteRegards,
Janice
He's a perfect little love, isn't he? How generous of you!
ReplyDeleteI'd name him Cruise, because he reminds me of a little terrier that belongs to a dear friend of ours :)
Catherine he is gorgeous no wonder you've become attached to him. I can see him keeping watch in my Petit Parterre. I would call him Sooty, just to be obtuse, hehe.
ReplyDeleteHope I am a lucky winner!
I would love to win him. He is so cute. If he were mine I'd name him Woofty.
ReplyDeleteYou have done such a great job with his face!
Oh, he is beautiful! You are doing such a wonderful job with the animals--you truly are an artist of varied talents! I would say his name should be Oscar! I haven't read if anyone else chose that name but he looks like an Oscar to me!
ReplyDeleteJody
A handmade giveaway is truly precious . If I am the lucky winner, he will be my Maharani's pet and will be named "Bombay", after the richest city in India. He is loyal, intelligent and brave and will never leave the side of his beloved Maharani. :)
ReplyDeleteHis name is SOUL
ReplyDeleteMy dog Kuketa has a best friend, westy named Soul.
Congratulations, Nice work!!!
Hello Catherine is a lovely dog, very real. I choose SUNDAY for the name of the dog. Best wishes
ReplyDeleteCatherine, little Frodo is awesome!
ReplyDeleteHi Catherine. I have answered your question on my blog with another alternative. Forgot to check there for the last few days.
ReplyDeleteNikki xxx

ReplyDeleteNikki xxx

He is just adorable and he looks just like a Westie! Hmmm a name, gosh a tough one...I will go for a Scottish name (and a name I had for one of my beloved cats who sadly died). I would call him Hamish ;o))
ReplyDeleteMichelle xx
ReplyDeletehttp://www.minisdeluna.com/
Your pup is outstanding. He looks just like Murphy, who is lucky enough to live with one of my dearest friends. I just found your work, and your blog, today... I am quite impressed.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe he is only your second animal! He is wonderful and should be "Maxwell". Max for short.
ReplyDeleteHe is so cute and already very nice behaving, I call tell. Of course he was born with and obeys the name Walther. I would give him a really nice home and a lot of love ;-)
ReplyDeleteLove, Susanne
A little bird told me, the dogs name is Lenny!
ReplyDeleteThe dog that you made looks just like our bichon/terrier mix. So the perfect name is
ReplyDeletePuff. His full name is Puff Daddy.
Wow!! Wow!! and more WOW!!! Can't believe how geat you did with him!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd can't express how nice it'll be to have him playing in my dollhouse patio.
I would call him "Sultán" (Sultan in spanish, just the same, only with an accent), for that was the name of the only dog I had as a child. I always wanted one dog but nor my mother then neither my wife now are likely to adopt a dog... but I'm sure my wife will make room at home for this lovely heart stealer!!
This is your second dog?? Wow, he is such perfect, I really love him!
ReplyDeleteI would call him: "Schnüffelchen" ...lol
Hugs,
Karin

ReplyDeleteWell, I had a Westie a while back but I lost her to old age and miss her dearly. If I should be blessed with this adorable little chap I would name him "Sir William of the Rockies West" and call him "Willy." My Westie's name was Willie - "Lady Willamina Rocky Mountain Miss." I live in Denver CO....
ReplyDeleteHugs and magnificent work!
