The Addiction
My serious addiction to Stokesay Ware continues, I'm afraid. These pieces arrived today and I am once again so happy with the quality of them.
I was a little hesitant about the cups and saucers because on their web site they are photographed straight on. The cups have a bit of a curve that goes up to the rim, so I couldn't see if they were as thin as I hoped they would be. They are perfect! Also I couldn't see if the big bowl had a design on both sides. It has a design on three sides and a surprise one inside the bowl.

ReplyDeleteHi Catherine,
ReplyDeleteYour new pieces look wonderful, I must admit that I too get a little nervous when buying on-line. I am very particular about scale and yes, thickness etc. of things like cups and plates etc.....but this work looks amazing, you must be thrilled!

Catherine, Your addiction is all in good taste!! I am going to have to get some of this too. I have always admired this china and it is so nice to see it in a 1:12 setting!!! Love it!!
ReplyDeleteI love these gems literally! The cups in particular, I suggest the art of receiving, which was once cultivated and has now lost: people offer you coffee in paper cups shabby!
ReplyDeleteYour service is to be magnificent!
:-)
They are absolutely beautiful!
